Vice Consul Hechme, has served the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Antigua and Barbuda as a consular officer from June 2016 until her appointed as Vice Counsel.

From May 2010 to November 2014, Ms Hechme served as an International Relations Officer attached to Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) in Saint Lucia.

Ms. Hechme holds a Master's in Area Studies (Latin America) from the Institute of the Study of Americas, University of London, and a Postgraduate diploma in Diplomatic Studies from the Rio Branco Institute, the Brazilian Diplomatic Academy.
