What We Do
Established in 1989, ABERC provides emergency (non-cash) relief assistance to the country and/or residents of Antigua and Barbuda in the event of a natural disaster.
Our call to action comes from the local Government with information on the critical needs required. This information is then filtered down to volunteers who assist us in sourcing the required items identified by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda and NODS.
We depend on and highly appreciate our volunteers consisting not only of nationals living in Canada, but also many other well-wishers who respond to our calls for assistance in inspecting, sorting, packing, and grouping donated items in preparation for shipment and ultimately distribution to those affected by disasters.
Our Mission Statement
ABERC will continue networking to partner with others who are passionate about disaster relief, while working to reduce the stress that disasters cause.
To Accomplish This
We solicit donations of either cash or gifts in kind from nationals, friends, well-wishers of Antigua and Barbuda, other Caribbean nationals, as well as the public at large.
