The Consulate General of Antigua and Barbuda in Canada was pleased to support the 48th Annual Caribanza Showcase and Gala, held at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, as a Heritage Sponsor.

Caribanza is a long-standing Caribbean cultural showcase and banquet that brings together students from Antigua and Barbuda alongside their Caribbean counterparts. The event serves as a vibrant platform to celebrate the richness of Caribbean culture, heritage, and community spirit.

The showcase highlighted the strong sense of identity and unity shared among Caribbean students studying in Canada. Through performances, presentations, and fellowship, participants demonstrated pride in their cultural roots while building meaningful connections within the diaspora.

A key feature of the evening was a dynamic live art performance, capturing the vibrancy and energy of Caribbean expression. The artwork, inspired by carnival aesthetics, reflected the creativity and storytelling that are central to the region’s cultural heritage.

As a Heritage Sponsor, the Consulate General reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote Caribbean culture and strengthen ties within the diaspora. Events such as Caribanza play an important role in fostering community, encouraging cultural exchange, and celebrating the shared heritage of Caribbean nations.

The Consulate extends its commendation to the organizers, participants, and sponsors for their continued dedication to preserving and showcasing Caribbean culture in Canada.
