His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams, GCMG, KGN, KSt.J, Governor General of Antigua and Barbuda, delivered the 2026 Speech from the Throne on Thursday, 20 November 2025, at the ceremonial opening of Parliament.

Delivered under the theme “Solid, Stable, Soaring: The Next Quarter Century,” the address outlined the Government’s legislative agenda and national priorities for the upcoming year. The Speech highlighted continued economic growth, infrastructure expansion, healthcare reform, education development, climate leadership, tourism investment, agricultural advancement, and public safety initiatives.

The Governor General reflected on Antigua and Barbuda’s progress over the past twenty-five years and emphasized the Government’s commitment to sustainable development, regional cooperation, and long-term national resilience.

The Speech from the Throne sets the policy direction for the Government’s work in 2026 and provides a comprehensive overview of planned legislative and developmental initiatives.
